Anchorage I A15

We have stayed at Anchorage on 3 separate vacations. This unit has an amazing view of the ocean and was quite clean and comfortable. The interior of the unit needs quite a lot of updating and the decor is a lot less upscale compared to other units we have stayed in, but we still had an excellent stay. We have and would recommend Anchorage to friends again in the future.

The ocean-facing unit felt like I was staying in a friend's apartment. The two bedroom unit was massive for just one person but I'm not complaining. The service staff were accessible during daytime hours and gave me a starter kit with towels, soap, shampoo, dishwashing fluid, washing detergent, etc. On-site parking was always available. And being away from the boardwalk and Southern Myrtle Beach is a positive. They do not change your bed linen or clean the unit for the duration of the stay--in my case it was fairly long at six nights. Not an issue for a single person. And you are expected to wash your utensils, discard the garbage, and bunch up what needs to be washed before you check out. But all said, I would go back to this unit in the future. It was a nice break and the easy access to the ocean was a difference maker.

Our unit was clean and well appointed. Not fancy, but comfortable. Surprised to see pool was "Closed" and construction on-going for handicapped ramp. In February, really no water activities other than walking beach. Agency was easy to work with with good communication.

Anchorage was exactly as listed. Their maintenance department was amazing, anything that needed done they were there. Two small issues that were dealt with immediately were small sugar ants, and also the dryer vent came off. Washer/dryer could use updated as well as some of the kitchen supplies. Deck was wonderful with amazing Ocean Views. Not busy or commercialized. Would definitely stay again

The view was breathtaking also the distance to the pool was very good, allowing us easy access. All in all was very agreeable vacation. The parking situation is not ideal for the beach side.

We love our month at Myrtle Beach in the fall. The weather is beautiful and the beaches and restaurants are not crowded. Our stay at Anchorage 1 is everything we need and want. With the exception of needing more comfortable chairs in the living room, it is perfect for us. We always look forward to our stay there.

First floor condo (non-smoking) with ocean view and direct access to beach in 2-5 minutes. Conveniently located between N. Ocean Blvd and Rt 17-Bus (N Kings Hwy) in Myrtle Beach shortly from attractions north/south. Swimming pool in landscaped courtyard. Keyless entry, A/C, hot water, furnished, with kitchen. 1 master bedroom ocean-side, 1 guest bedroom, pull-out couch, separate bathrooms, laundry room, and small roofed balcony with sliding doors to living room & master bedroom. Included wifi and cable tv (3 LCD's), linens/bedding, towels, kitchen utilities, beach chairs, and on-site parking (hang-tag rqd).

The location is excellent- 1/2hr north or south to most attractions and dining, and just outside an upscale residential & resort zone. Generally, minimal traffic and quiet. No rude or half-a-job guest services/hotel staff to deal with. Anchorage Rentals, LLC made the rental process on-point and efficient.
You can securely clean your clothes during a long stay; and cook your own meals if desired. Walking access to the beach in

We had a wonderful month of fun in the sun in October and early November. We had great weather and stayed in a condo with a wonderful oceanfront view. This is our favorite place and always look forward to our yearly trip to Myrtle Beach.

We have stayed at Anchorage 1 or 2 many times in the past, but this was the first time we had an end unit facing the beach. The view was beautiful even from inside the condo. We loved being able to look out and see the ocean. Almost everything was fine about the condo, except that there wasn't enough light! The bedrooms and living room had no overhead lights, which was fine, except there were very few lamps. The living room only had one small lamp. It looked more like it belonged on a bedside table. The guest bedroom had one lamp just like the one in the living room. We like to read and there wasn't enough light to read in the living room or guest room. I think the other problem was with the whole complex. We kept losing WiFi. We called the management company and were given a different network to use. We both like to use our electronic devices and it was very aggravating to suddenly lose WiFi and have to change to a different network which didn't always work either. This continued for the entire week that we were there. If we had been trying to work while on vacation, it would have terrible. If it weren't for the poor lighting and the WiFi problem, I would have given this condo 5 stars.

This is a beautifully decorated unit with an amazing view. Was able to get a glimpse of the dolphins while sipping coffee in the morning on the balcony. The only complaints are the unreliable wifi and early morning painting.

We had a very Pleasant stay at The Anchorage 1, as always the Fosters have immaculate rooms, We have been vacationing at the Anchorage for over 20 years now and we feel right at home, the location is great and we feel safe there, no wild parties or anything like that. There are some improvements for the room we were in , the bathroom showers need a handicap hand rail cause the floor is slick in both bathrooms and needs a shelf to put shampoo soap etc. on. The floor in the dining room was swaging and in the kitchen entrance also was swaging.Other than that we LOVED staying at the Anchorage 1 and also a
Anchorage II, also the landscaping is beautiful and the rooms and the whole area inside and outside is very clean. We are looking forward to next year already!!,

The Anchorage was a great place to stay and great location. Loved waking up every morning and enjoying my coffee on the balcony watching the sun rise over the ocean. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff was great to work with. We will definitely come again.

It was lovely!The rooms were very clean and accomodating. I was so sad we could only stay 2 days. They were very helpful with any questions we had also. The kitchen was equipped very nicely also. If we go to Myrtle Beach again I would most definitely try to stay there again.
